We’ve been shortlisted for a 2026 LUCA Award!

I’m delighted and proud to share that Cloud Accounting Support Services Ltd has been shortlisted for Medium Practice of the Year at the 2026 ICB LUCA Awards.

It’s always nice to get recognition like this, but for me it’s also a chance to look back at how far CASS and #teamCASS have come.

Last year we were shortlisted for two LUCA Awards including Client Experience so to be back on the shortlist again in 2026 is something I’m really proud of.

But, as I’ve said before, you don’t build a business to win awards.

You build it to look after your clients, build a great team and hopefully create something that people genuinely value. If awards come along as a result of doing those things well, then that’s a pretty good bonus.

CASS has changed a lot

CASS today looks very different to the business I started.

We’ve grown the team, added new services and continued to move further away from simply being seen as a bookkeeping business.

Yes, bookkeeping is still at the heart of what we do and getting the numbers right is absolutely essential.

But what we really want to do is help our clients understand those numbers and, more importantly, use them.

That means looking forward as well as backwards.

It means having regular conversations with our clients, producing useful financial information, helping with cashflow and planning, and sometimes just being there at the end of the phone when a business owner needs to talk something through.

That’s what Giving You More Than Numbers means to me.

It’s down to #teamCASS

The biggest change at CASS over the years has probably been the team around me.

I’m very lucky to have a group of people who genuinely care about the clients they look after.

As we’ve grown, I’ve always been conscious that I don’t want CASS to become one of those businesses where clients feel like a number or don’t know who to speak to.

Our clients have a dedicated contact who gets to know them and their business. We try to be proactive rather than waiting for somebody to ask us a question, and we want clients to feel they can pick up the phone and speak to us.

That only happens because of the people in #teamCASS.

So although the nomination says Cloud Accounting Support Services, it really is recognition for the whole team.

And, of course, our clients

We wouldn’t have a business without our clients.

A huge amount of our growth continues to come from recommendations, and we now regularly see clients coming to us through second, third and even fourth-generation referrals.

I probably value that more than any award.

If somebody trusts us enough to recommend CASS to another business owner, particularly when their own reputation is attached to that recommendation, we must be doing something right.

So thank you to everyone who works with us, supports us and recommends us.

Now we wait until November...

The LUCA Awards take place at the QEII Centre in London on 16 November, when we’ll find out who has won.

Obviously, we’d love to bring the award back to Tamworth.

But whatever happens on the night, I’m proud that CASS has been shortlisted again and, more importantly, proud of the team and business we’ve built.

We’ll keep doing what we do, keep trying to improve and keep working to give our clients more than numbers.
