Home Instead (Care & Companionship) provides a broad range of home care services, including companionship, personal care and live-in care.

When the current owner took over the business, CASS was already providing cloud accounting support to Care & Companionship. What started as an inherited relationship quickly developed into something much broader, with CASS becoming an integral part of the business and its day-to-day finance function.

As the relationship developed, Care & Companionship increasingly looked to CASS to take responsibility for more of its financial administration, allowing its own team to concentrate their time and resources elsewhere in the business.

Running a care business brings significant operational demands, and finance administration was taking valuable time that could be better used elsewhere.

Tasks such as processing receipts, bank reconciliations, client invoicing and payroll all required management time and resource. Together, invoicing and payroll activities could take approximately a week in total.

Rather than Care & Companionship having to manage different parts of its finance function separately, CASS provides support across the process, with the relationship extending right through to the company's year-end requirements.

Just as importantly, the Care & Companionship team has access to people when they need help, whether that's by phone, message, email or through the CASS portal.

By moving more of the finance function to CASS, Care & Companionship has been able to significantly reduce the amount of internal time spent on financial administration.

Work that previously meant approximately a week being spent on invoicing and payroll can now be dealt with in a couple of days.

That time hasn't simply disappeared from the business. It has allowed management time to be redeployed into areas where it can deliver greater value, while also enabling the business to use its headcount more efficiently.

The relationship has also developed because the CASS team is accessible when support is needed. Multiple ways of getting in touch mean Care & Companionship isn't left waiting when a financial question or issue needs attention.

Care & Companionship now has an outsourced finance function supporting the business from everyday financial processing through to year-end compliance.

The time spent internally on invoicing and payroll has reduced from approximately a week to a couple of days, freeing valuable management capacity and allowing resources to be deployed more effectively elsewhere in the business.

What started as an accounting relationship inherited from the previous owner has developed into a long-term partnership, with Care & Companionship continuing to add more CASS services as the relationship has grown.
